The phrase “statement shoes” may be a bit overused these days, ranging from mile-high, thigh-high boots to glittery confections, but then again, one can never really satisfy a footwear fetish. Canadian-born designer Anastasia Radevich proves that point with her eponymous line of hand-finished shoes, its first collection “Biofuture” launching last 2009.
Anastasia’s bio boasts a who’s who in footwear—after she graduated from The London College of Fashion, she spent two years working under the Also Group in Montreal, designed under All Saints founders’ Bolongaro Trevor brand, and then interned under Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood—all before finally starting her own, fast-rising line.
“Anastasia designs for the new generation; a woman with strong contemporary character, free in spirit, daring and self-confident. She knows she is living in the present, in the 21 Century, and enjoys it,”
states the brand’s profile.
“Freedom and exploration are the two drives behind every collection.”
