105 years ago…the creation of Lanvin Childrenswear

105 years ago, Jeanne Lanvin took on the most fortuitous role of all – that of motherhood. Eventually, a collection of wardrobe staples began to take shape after her daughter Marguerite was born, becoming Lanvin Childrenswear. Sewn by hand, the delicate pieces encapsulate the essence of innocence, wonder and enchantment, quickly becoming a hit amongst Lanvin customers who request the childrenswear for their own daughters, and thus leading to opening of the first “childrenswear” department in 1908.  Enjoy this selection of children’s sketches sent to us by the French house.
