Wooden House With Studio By Bernardo Bader Architects

The forest of Schwarzenberg, Austria provided the 60 individual spruce, fir and elms trees used to make this gorgeous residence located within its domain. Carefully planned by leading Austrian architect Bernardo Bader and his firm, construction panels, doors, the floor structure and the floor boards, the kitchen, and much of the furniture was made from the very best pieces they cultivated. No drywalls were used in this construction. There are legends stating enchanted spirits reside within the trees in Europe, and perhaps they have enchanted this newly-finished house, as this project has definitely enchanted me. I love how a ultra modern minimalist aesthetic has been achieved with such an intimate material.
