Trailer Tuesdays: Diana Vreeland – The Eye Has To Travel

Welcome to Trailer Tuesdays, a new installment on Trendland previewing the best in filmmaking in the form of hyper-inspirational, under 5 minute movie trailers.

Following a preview of Michel Gondry’s latest last week, this week, in a nod to fashion month, we get a personal look at Diana Vreeland, documented in the 2011 “The Eye Has To Travel.”  Beginning in 1936, when she became a fashion editor at Harper’s Bazzar, Vreeland established herself as a controversial visionary with an astonishing ability to invent and discover fashion ideas, designers, personalities and photographers.  She was a memorable writer with a vivid personality and a talent for coining aphorisms.  I’m getting all weepy hearing the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Anna Sui, Diane Von Furstenburg and Angelica Houston share their thoughts on her outstanding vision.
