Tintin Cooper’s Vintage Photo Collages

Tintin Cooper’s photographic collages weave together different images in popular media.  The precision cut outs obscure figures’ faces, hiding their identity, and exploring deeper themes of celebrity (especially in sports).  The Bangkok-born artist says, “My work takes its starting point from icons/images of masculinity, heroism and male identity, which are subsequently deconstructed through the mediums of sculpture, installation and collage.”
