Today’s throwback is a late 70’s track by the West Coast remarkable band Toto. The type of song that puzzles our minds as to which decade we should have lived in.

Formed in 1976, the high school friends David Paich, Steve Lulather, Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate and Jeff Porcaro came together to become renowned for their perfect pitched groovy sounds, enjoying great success in the 80’s. Their stage presence still blows long-time and new fans world-wide.
They are known for such hit singles as “Rosanna”, “Africa”, and “Stranger in Town” but “Georgy Porgy” appeal us the most. Released on Toto’s self-titled debut album in 1978, the track features R&B/Soul goddess Cheryl Lynn who provides the back vocals. It’s a super nostalgic track, even for those who never spent their teens in the 80’s. We wish we did, though!
