Throwback Thursday: T. Rex

By the time “Hot Love” hit Number 1 in the early months of 1971, T.Rexstasy is in full force in England.

      2. Hot Love

The single is off of superstar Marc Bolan’s 6th album, Electric Warrior, for which the T. Rex band was formed. The T. Rex sound evolved from hippie pop to full on glam rock at this point, with lots of mysticism still present in the songwriting. Just a couple short years later, Bolan was stateside trying to win Americans over, for his popularity at home had fallen just as short as it had risen.
