Off the album Power, Lies, & Corruption, the single has been featured on countless Hollywood films, commercials and covered by heaps of noteworthy artists over the past 30 years. Its the perfect song to celebrate the beginning of summer and the life of former Joy Division bandmate Ian Curtis. New Order was formed shortly after his death as a new chapter to the band’s musical career. For those of you lucky enough to see New Order this year at Coachella, “Age of Consent” was a rare treat and certainly noteworthy of this weeks Throwback Thursday favorite.
