Well now that everyone has written about Thom Browne‘s presentation at Pitti Uomo, I can calmly put it into my archive of fashion greatness, where it belongs. The presentation was held at the Istituto di Scienze Militari Aeronatiche. The brick building was built in 1938 and has kept everything from its streamlined squares of the parquet floor to aeroplane-shaped door handles intact, but the attraction didn’t stop there. The scene was of a very prestigious Prep School circa 1920’s where the boys were dressed to the T in identically ‘fitted and lined up in a monotonous military like formation. They each carried the same briefcase and had a coat stands and typewriters on their desks. The whole thing looked perfect!
