Net-a-Porter was lucky enough to shoot the beautiful and talented Karen Elson for this week’s issue of The Edit. Oh, and the lovely Tabitha Simmons interviewed the British model, a longtime friend of the stylist/shoe designer. Elson talks about some of her more memorable moments in fashion, moving in Nashville, leaving the fashion industry for motherhood, and pursuing a career in music. Apparently Nashville (and perhaps her ex-husband Jack White) left quite the impression on Elson, who counts Mazzy Star, Leonard Cohen, and Gram Parsons as a few of her musical influences. With a sophomore album due to be released in 2014, it seems like she has plenty on her plate, but if these gorgeous shots are proof, she pulls it all off with unparalleled ease.
