Product design research project by studio Thomas Vailly redefines the way we approach wood. It revolves around Pinus Pinaster – a resinous tree harvested for its pitch, as its wooden blocks make a natural polymer. Using this raw material as a starting point, the project documents all the beautiful creations by designers such as David Derksen, Gardar Eyjolfsson and Lex Pott to prove the supremacy of organic over synthetic.
