The name is derived from the French poet Charles Baudelaire’s pioneering work, Les Fleurs du mal (Flowers of Evil.) The brand represents natural beauty and elegance but also has a provocative darker side. The Fleur du Mal woman is brought to life with inspiring muses like Camilla Belle, Lou Doillon, and a young Charlotte Rampling.
It’s beautiful but also has that darker side to it – Jennifer Zuccarini
The brand depicts an effortlessly chic silhouette that is modern and clean but has an evocative 1970’s Parisian Palace nightclub vibe. Jennifer explains that the it is not just products, but a full sensory experience allowing the consumer to immerse in the culture, sound, taste, and feel of Fleur du Mal. That experience is the driving force in her pop up concept shops debuting in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
It is also brought out in the stunning new website, which digitally recreates the essence of the brand. Zuccarini’s intent was for the online experience is to mimic a beautifully curated boutique. “We are setting out to be the chicest and most provocative fashion brand in the world,” the brand says boldly and we can not disagree that they are off to a good start.
