The Marlton House

The Marlton House is full of stories. Once a home to legendary artists in the 1950’s like Jack Kerouac, Maggie Smith and Carmen McRae, it more recently served as a dormitory for The New School, with students often refusing to leave for years after they had graduated.

A charming brownstone in Greenwich Village, the building now hosts the Marlton Hotel. With the spirit of its’ intriguing past captured in furniture, books and cocktails, this boutique hotel has bohemian written all over.

The affordable rooms are small but sweet, with white marble bathrooms and black and brass light fixtures giving them an air of vintage luxury. Next to a cocktail bar in the lobby, the hotel features the Mediterranean restaurant Margaux. A friendly, welcoming place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
