“The Humping Pact is a suspended act of affirmative persistence. Using only two bodies multiplied across various landscapes, we attempt to create an aesthetic meditation on the human desire to believe in the futile and to conceive the impossible. Our coming together is a tribute to dysfunctional spaces that still emanate creative potential. We attempt to build an intimate and personal relationship with space and its architecture in the most efficient way, being loyal to its demands and dedicated within our efforts. We want to celebrate the human body that is convulsed by the desire to disseminate, conceive, and inspire”.  

Interesting concepts beg for even more interesting follow through and artists and creators Dmitry Paranyushkin & Diego Agullo take this idea of highlighting places of former glory and beauty now decimated by the dark side we humans and our co- created societies embody: greed, ego and competitive orchestration of the psyche, represented by the repetition of two bodies, humping…. 

This hedonistic orgy of  humping is done in the spaces, emotive, rhythmic, emotional, atavistic repetition brings in an authenticity to the project. Let’s face it, without a clear and conscious intention this could have been reduced to ridicule and immediately shelved. However, “The Humping Pact is the suspended act of love towards the environment. It’s a contemplative meditation on the nature of the futile and the human need to transcend the impossible.”

Wildly successful, The Humping Project has been presented through a variety of media: in short film format (Oberhausen Film Festival), as video installation (Beursschowburg, PACT Zollverein, Arsenal, Kunsthal Charlottenborg), live performances, lectures and workshops, internet videos, and beautiful photo prints ( on sale through the website).

The Humping Pact operates on the basis of missions. Thanks to the community of our supporters, they travel around the world finding  places that used to have creative potential. Through action they are attracting attention to these beautiful artefacts of human persistence and to celebrate the convulsions of human body in its desire to be inspirational. Occasionally they invite a guest humper  from The Humping Pact supporter community. Producing several landscapes on the basis of each mission and a short trailer report of activities, below are trailers for some of their latest missions.
