The Fearless Vampire Killers‘ “For You & Me,” produced by Lars Stalfors (The Mars Volta) and engineered by Michael Badger, stirs up images of retro surf rock with a twist. Think The Doors crossed with The Beach Boys with a touch of The Who sprinkled on top for good measure. This is an ever so up tempo song that draws you in from start to finish with its surprising rolling riffs and catchy hooks. Boys, you had me from the first lyric.
The 4 piece group is currently touring Australia supporting the up-and-coming, Lanie Lane. While they have changed members over the past few years, they now have a tight sound–especially live. If you happen to be down under, I highly recommend getting yourself to a gig.
