I really liked Reed Krakoff’s S/S 2012 collection, especially the rigid suit-like looks. The bonded cotton used in the “suiting” gave a really streamlined look to the silhouette, and was shouting woman in power! His use of contrast fabrication and color blocking in other looks also gave the collection a really nice and graphic feel. [...]
I really liked Reed Krakoff’s Resort 2012 Collection, though I did sense some influences from Balenciaga’s SS 2011 collection. However despite any similarities this collection is far more feminine than Balenciaga’s that I mentioned. I have a weakness for well executed color-blocking and this collection does a fine job at that.
