100 Portraits for I-D Magazine 30th Birthday

2010 marks the 30th anniversary of i-D magazine and to celebrate, a host of models, stylists, editors, actors, photographers and musicians have been invited to be photographed by Nick Knight as part of a very special photographic project which mirrors Knight’s 100 portraits series shot for the 5th anniversary of i-D in 1985.

The list of names includes Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Gareth Pugh, Florence & The Machine and Leona Lewis and a whole host of celebrated names that have all graced the pages of i-D over the past 30 years. The original story for the October 1985 issue included a cross section of talent such as Leigh Bowery, Adam Ant, Morrissey, Michael Clark and Steve Strange.
The shoot will take place in the Live Studio at the SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution exhibition at Somerset House. Exhibition visitors can watch the shoot via a two-way mirror. For opening times and booking details click here.

Kayt Jones Fashion Photography

London born fashion photographer Kayt Jones started her career when at seventeen she decided to buy a Leica M4 with the money she had saved for a car. She fell into fashion photography because it allow her to create mise-en-scene but in a temporal way. Kayt’s love for cinema is very evident in her shots, which often feel like stills from a movie. She now lives and works in LA for publications such as ID, Harpers’s Bazaar, French Elle amongst other.

ID Mag Goes Agyness Crazy !

Had your fill of Agyness Deyn? Well, close your eyes then because this is about to be overkill. i-D‘s May issue is dedicated to the former chip-shop girl with five, yes, five covers, including one nude one. In addition, there are editorials featuring the ubiquitous blonde pixie lensed by Terry Richardson and another spread by Nick Knight. But wait! We’re not done yet! Deyn writes! She took a stab at an essay on Vivienne Westwood. Plus (yes, plus), her boyfriend, Josh Hubbard, and mother also write pieces about Deyn. Okay, now is it overkill? so it’s out [Fashion Spot]
