This collection is for the woman who hunts by day (in blue woods) with her camouflage complimented by patent leather heels.
I heard the news Friday and although it is not yet confirmed, there was not a second of doubt in my mind that Christopher Kane would be named Creative Director at Balenciaga.
Christopher Kane’s S/S 2013 was probably one of the strongest we’ve seen from him in almost 4 or 5 seasons. Maybe it’s all that Versace influence, but whatever struck down upon Mr. Kane this season, we can get behind. Starting with all white, minimalists suits in embossed floral white leather came down the catwalk, followed [...]
Christopher Kane’s F/W 2012 collection discharged quite a morbid energy. It was the combination of the palette and the exaggerated black leather piping that gave this dark edge. The highlight of the collection were definitely the printed dresses with the leather pipping.

David Koma, an MA graduate from Central Saint Martins, was awarded the Harrods design award in February. Koma’s Autumn/Winter 09 collection was a concentration of the female form with fabulous metal shapes and embellishments onto black, nude and pina colada yellow dresses. Bordelle is here to make a mark. This line was built for that femme fatale we keep inside and unleash at the most inopportune times. Get dressed and get really serious about being undressed in these pieces. The late 80′s bondage inspiration can be interpreted as underwear or RTW in this collection. I can guarantee
I introduced you to Mary Karantzou, the brilliant graduating MA student from Central Saint Martins a few months back. I was in complete awe for weeks after I discovered her, similar to how I felt when I discovered Christoper Kane in the same place a few years ago. There are some designers that just make …
“Last season’s oversized sequins had grown into even bigger circles of chiffon and leather that rippled like scales around the models or created scalloped contours down their bodies to oscillating – and very short – hemlines. The British Fashion Council today announces that designers Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Ilincic have been chosen to receive British Fashion Council Fashion Forward sponsorship.
The scheme, established two years ago, provides financial support to UK-based designers who are in the early stages of developing their business and have already established a profile at London Fashion Week. The award, partly supported this season by the London Development Agency, consists of a substantial cash prize, to be used towards producing an on-schedule catwalk show at London Fashion Week, and has been previously won by Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, Richard Nicoll, Jens Laugesen and Sinha-Stanic. Christopher Kane, Erdem and Marios Schwab are all being awarded Fashion Forward sponsorship for the first-time. Roksanda Ilincic is a recipient for the second time.
