Designer Riccardo Tisci wanted to portray the euphoric energy of a rave in Givenchy’s Fall 2012 campaign. This led photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, to capture the models in a blurred motion as to emanate the essence of ravers.
ELOHIM‘s Spring Summer 2010 inspiration sprouted from people’s obsession with body modification thus the collection features much material elongation and amalgamation.
Sabrina Goh has a penchant for strict achromatic color schemes but this season she’s added discreet dashes of electric blue and coral with much success. One thing Goh’s clothing is not strict with is whether her pieces are womenswear or menswear; they are androgynous through and through. With males donning skinny jeans just as comfortably as females these days and girlfriends making it a habit to steal their boyfriends’ clothes [blazers, jeans, vests], this collection is very much appropriate for right now and reinforces Sabrina Goh’s open-minded spirit. The ripped jeans aren’t your regular ripped jeans, they are hardcore and punk without the messy fraying. Clean rips? How could one not be a fan. Not all of ELOHIM is androgynous though, there are also killer mini dresses atypically textured and structured with unexpected cuts flashing the back or zig-zagging the lapel and cowl necks draping just as they should. There is an obvious reason ELOHIM is getting this follow up feature [see the last feature on CyanaTrendLand].
No big introduction to make here, we have said it before and we will continue to say it as long as Ann Demeulemeester is run by the one and only Ann, PURE GENIUS! The mens SS 2010 collection is sizzlin’, sexy, hot! I absolutely love the contrast of fabrics and the sequins touches spread throughout…
