Alexander Wang made his debut as head designer at Balenciaga this morning in Paris.
Draped and over-sized is Wang’s style for Fall 2013. Chunky knits and thick furs are lavishly paired in neutral solids to create looks that are fit for Siberian Winters.
Season after season Alexander Wang presents us with his signature athletic luxe garments. His pre fall 2013 collection is updated with tailored suits in jacquards and donegal tweed, with covetable details like soft draped frocks, zipped-on doubled lapels in black leather, and ombré jackets and tops, the feeling is that everything is blurring together.
It’s not easy to find a new way to present household fashion brands. Alexander Wang’s SS 13 show was simply stunning. Here is a designer who knows his woman, giving her more options and creative output season after season. There are aspects that seldom vary, like this season’s choice of color palette (certainly his mainstay), black, white, taupe and grays. Innovation is clearly his strong point, this season [...]
Alexander Wang‘s designs have always been a bit casual, a bit masculine, and as of late, a bit sporty. And it seems he just keeps getting better, bringing all these elements and more to his latest 2013 Resort Collection. Styling his simple, trademark pieces into

Monochromatic and color-blocking styles are the building blocks of each outfit, with neutrals ranging from [...]

I was not crazy about Alexander Wang’s S/S 2012 collection, but I did rather like his T by Alexander Wang S/S 2012 selection. The minimal palette and lightweight fabrications gave the collection a really effortless grace. He did exactly what was meant to do with this collection, create beautiful everyday separates at a accessible price [...]
Nostalgia Anew: Serenity Subversive “It’s refreshing to see something that isn’t trying so hard to be new. There’s so much striving for newness now that newness feels less new.” – Marc Jacobs Tough lowered its guard for the farewell wave to Bryan Park. And that was that. New York was quiet. Muted – the palette [...]
