Hermes is opening a new exhibition in London this month, entitled Leather Forever, featuring some of the historic label’s most famous designs. Celebrating Hermès’ 175th anniversary, the exhibition will also play host to some of the brand’s famed artisans, of which I have included some images below. For Fall/Winter 2011 the Eye Of The World Designs accessories collection continues to use natural and reclaimed materials from the UK, primarily wood, to create one off hand made accessories in Peckham UK. The Bjørg label has been a longtime love by us here at Trendland (and pretty much by most females around the world over). Their latest 2012 collection only deepens that love. Titled “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost” and spanning a beautiful 18 pages, Bjørg’s lookbook-slash-storybook is what dreams are made of.

Cult jewelry line MANIAMANIA is always good for a beautiful campaign, and this 3-part video “The Third Mind” is mind-blowing proof of that. Showcasing their new 2012 Spring Collection, the first film was released on The New York Times T Magazine site, while the second film, “Kaleidescope” was launched exclusively on none other than V Magazine.

OS is a handcrafted accessories line based on bones. Inspired by beautiful tribal necklaces found during an out-of-town trip, three friends Paul Jatayna, Kat Medina, and AJ Omandac immediately got to work, learning how to make molds and create realistic-looking bone reproductions using polyurethane.

You’d kind of expect the designer of Lady Gaga’s custom-made leather harnesses to come from a fashion-forward course like “New Genres”. Zana Bayne not only graduated with a BFA in this subject from San Francisco Art Institute, her eponymous leather line was also already a favorite of other well-known figures, like Katy Perry, Ciara, Kelis, and Milla Jovovich, before Lady Gaga joined her clientele.
