Syron, born Daisy Russell, is the latest in a crop of young female vocalists coming to you from South London. The Brit, hailed by i-D magazine as one of 2012 coolest new female talents, sings coolly over breezy house production on her first single.
Her forthcoming album, “Breaking,” boasts a voice which seems beyond that of a 19 year old. You may recognize her from her appearance from Rudimental’s “Spoons” earlier this year. Between Syron, Jessie Rare, SKTRKT, and Disclosure, the nu garage trend shows no sign of slowing down, and we can’t wait to hear Syron’s full EP this fall.
