Industrial designer Mugi Yamamoto’s explores the possibilities of the printer with his graduate project “Stack”. A very cool concept, the compact inkjet printer works after having been placed on top of a paper pile. While prinitng, it slowly moves downwards and swallows the pile, the paper disappearing and exiting on top into a new pile. It forgoes the bulkiest element of common printers, the paper tray, allowing a very light appearance and avoiding frequent reloading. Paper jams be gone!
