Karen Dalton may be the best singer you’ve never heard of. She is the great lost voice of New York’s Greenwich Village folk scene in the 1960s. A secret muse and love of men such as Bob Dylan and Nick Cave, this woman was made of musical magic. Her voice was known as ‘folk music’s answer to Billie Holiday’. Beyond that, she was known to have certain bewitching qualities that made it impossible not to be enchanted by her, despite her many dangerous and self destructive vices.
