Rodarte S/S 2013BY Katrina Tan / Sep 15 12 @ 12:12 PM
The reviews of Rodarte's Spring/Summer 2013 collection are peppered with big name drops: Game of Thrones, Dungeons & Dragons, Warrior Princess. To which the Mulleavy sisters shake their heads. "Not just Dungeons & Dragons—all of them," says Laura. "Fantasy role-playing games, especially the '80s versions."
The much-loved sister act of the fashion world did not fail to stun yet again this season, with an adventurous collection of armor-like bodices, breastplates, grommeted biker pants, and jewel-encrusted leather jackets. Although these were softened up with a healthy dose of organza, silk, lace, and jacquard, the overall collection was definitely this season's game-changer.
