Recycled Beauty, a series by photographer Laurie Frankel and designer Diane Gatterdam, takes a cue from one of the most recognized Dutch masters and one of the signature artists of the still life genre, Willem Claeszoon Heda (December 14, 1593/1594 – c.1680/1682). Only, unlike Heda’s sumptuous subjects, the duo takes discarded and undesired objects to set into tasteful arrangements that make us question the ideas of consumption and waste.
