Indie remix kings, RAC have yet another perfected re-invention added to their already sterling repertoire. If you’re unfamiliar, the collective has helped catapult bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Mr. Little Jeans, and Penguin Prison to the top of people’s must-have artists. Not to waste any production skills, RAC has entered a whole new territory to conquer: covers.

The boys–including Andrew Maury, Karl Kling, and founder Andre Anjos–invited Andre’s wife Liz Anjos to come on board for the cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ classic, “1979.”

It’s not the first time the threesome have produced a record. In fact, they co-produced Ra Ra Riot’s Orchard, White Arrows’ debut album, and hot-on-the-scene LA boys, Princeton’s new album. Just imagine what they’ll get themselves into next. Any rising artist would be nuts to refuse RAC the remix rights to their next hit song. After all, RAC might be the ones that make it a hit. Sometimes the original just doesn’t trump the revamp.
