Qiu Hao’s Fashion Designs

D

on’t ask me about inspiration… image is a simple way of saying complicated things.” These are the first words you read on designer Qiu Hao‘s site, which, as it turns out is a beautifully stark presentation of the Chinese designer’s conceptual clothing line.

Starting his first ready-to-wear line Neither Nor in 2001, which sells in nine department stores around China, Qiu went on to study Fashion Womenswear in Central Saint Martins a few years later, and establish his second line QIUHAO in 2006.

This eponymous—with just two collections so far, Serpens and Centaur—has since been featured worldwide, including in Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine, BBC, and many more; with Qiu himself being named by Forbes as one of the top 25 most important people in the Chinese fashion industry in 2010, and nominated by WGSN for the “Breakthrough Designer Award” in 2011.
