‘I couldn’t resist the temptation to explore worlds I did not know’ is how French architect Jean Nouvel describes his recent fashion collaboration with Italian brand Ruco Line.The finished product is a simplistic design that embodies the natural shoe form. The rawness of the structure combined with the colors create energy with a vibrant modernist twist. The outer shoe has a small, bold type printed on the ankle line, which is the name of the design in the abbreviated form – NVL PR 13 – alongside a serial number, a very discrete play of graphic element that personalises every shoe, as described by the designer.
