Skateboarding is not for the faint of heart.

It is physically demanding and often skin gets peeled and bones break. Skating pools is on a whole other level than your average sidewalk ollie, or half pipe backside kickflip. When one skates in a empty pool there are two technical things to consider in order to have a smooth ride (other than a natural or thoroughly practiced talent) 1) centripetal force and 2) rotational inertia both of which in mil- seconds can really test a persons bravery, and stupidity.  The photos in new book “Pools” by Craig Fineman serve to show at once the elegance and suave of skateboarders but also the determination, perseverance, and physical possibilities.
