Placebo’s Too Many Friends (with Bret Easton Ellis)

placebo too many friends

They had it with the title: Unfortunate Details with Bret Easton Ellis. Then, they bumped it up with a school girl smashing a champagne bottle on a guy’s head. Then, their lyrics. “My computer thinks I’m gay, I threw that piece of junk, away on the Champs-Elysees, as I was walking home.” And that’s just the first stanza.

Bret, author of American Psycho and Less than Zero fame, provides the perfect narration for this thrilling six minute whodunit video. It’s the first single off the British group’s latest album, Loud Like Love, and it’s a great one. Watch it here:
