By now you should know, we look to fashion month for street style almost as much as we do for the collections. And nowadays, everyone wants their chance to be a star, so what better an opportunity for all fashionistas, budding and veteran, to take to their armoires and walk in closets to whip out some truly terrific style. Allowing for a little experimentation, Paris is our favorite edition for street style, always with that distinct Parisian savoir faire. This season, the overall mood was exciting and the weather was great.
Celine, always a huge hit, continued its reign on the streets, and we saw structured bottoms mixed with oversize sweaters and pumps. Valentino brought out the most fashionable women of Paris, and as everyone showed off their Balenciaga space slogan neoprene sweaters, Anja Rubik kept it all denim outside Isabel Marant.
And the rest of the usual suspects? The Russians: Elena Perminova, Natalia Vodianova, Ulyana Sergenko, Mira, eclectic but somewhat fashion forward; the Italians: Giovanna, Anna Dello Russo, Franca, colorful as always; and the French: Emmanuel Alt, Gaia Repossi, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, puristic and minimal.
