Oscar de la Renta’s FNO

Fashion Night Out 2010 in New York City was a beaming success; the entire city was out, enjoying the open stores and parties. As diverse the areas of New York are, as diverse FNO felt. Uptown glamor to downtown hipness – even the smallest of stores got involved in this grand night of fashion festivities.

My journey started on the Upper East Side at Oscar de la Renta, then traveling down the island to Soho, Meat Packing and Lower East Side. From all my impressions of that night, my visit to Oscar de la Rentas Party was the most memorable.

Straight upon arrival, we were greeted by excellent service – champagne was flowing in masses, and the Store was at it’s full capacity.

The theme of the night was Flamenco- a live band was performing finest latin music, most people were dancing whilst shopping, or letting themselves be swirled away by one of the professional dancers on site.

The giftbags were in line and the guests seemed eager to indulge in the beautiful gowns and accessories put on display.

Anna Wintour graced with a short but warm appearance, leaving almost a magic buzz behind.
