Back in September we announced that Nicola Formichetti had been appointed the new creative director of Thierry Mugler. This was very exciting news and now it is time to evaluate the first round. Yesterday was Day 1 of Paris Mens Fashion Week, and the debut of Formichetti’s first collection, “Anatomy of Change”. At 6 pm tonight you can watch

the exclusive web – only film featuring new Lady Gaga track on the Mugler website.

    I’m very disappointed in the new Mugler campaign. These images are just eery and shocking (like Hellraiser) and no where near the market and esthetic that Mugler was. In the 90′s he was ahead of his time with futuristic, architectural pieces that you are seeing today in the likes of Gareth Pugh. When a new designer takes over a house they have to stay true to the brand. This collection clearly does not.

    The man in these photos was tattooed all over like a skeleton, it’s not makeup. In Gaga’s Born This Way music video, HER’S is makeup to look like his tattoos.

    Yes this guy IS tattooed over half body (including his head) like this. IT IS ALL TATTOOED.. none of it is Make up. He is Rick Genest, a Canadian model known as Zombie BoY, and he was homeless before being discovered. GaGa’s Designer/friend Nicola Formichetti discovered him, and you can find his whole story at the link below, along with some GREAT photo’s of his tatts, including hands and arms. : >D
