Munsoo Kwon F/W 2013

Taking inspiration from the theme of the Kidult, Munsoo Kwon knocks out a schoolboy collection with a bit of a twist. According to Kwon, kidults admire popular culture of the 80s and 90s, from movies and novels to sportstars and sitcoms, which translated into nostalgic elements like polka dots, robots and multi-colored toggles on the tailored menswear. Overall, this third menswear collection from Kwon (who has worked under names such as Robert Geller, Helmut Lang, Thom Browne and Andrew Buckler) is looking sharp, practical, and playful at once – superbly done. Look for signature split-open detailing on shirt backs and pockets instead of loud branding.
