As part of New York Fashion week, Italian luxe label Moncler transformed the New York’s Hammerstein’s ballroom into an immersive sensory experience to showcase the Grenoble line. Famous for their range of innovative quilted jackets, ski and outdoor-wear, the showcase was a spectacular hybrid of theatrical performance and fashion. Sixty men and women choristers dressed entirely in black and white lined up in a structure on several levels. In front of them, nine singers and an orchestra conductor dressed in down-filled morning suits were placed on hydraulic platforms.
Flashing lights were used to illuminate the skiwear collection, resulting in a truly hypnotic showcase of the Autumn/Winter 2014-15 collection. Moncler offer “the mix & match of different materials remains a strong point of the collection, which features three-dimensional and breathable waterproof mesh”. Designed for both day-to-day urban life as well as the top of mountain summits, the range is versatile and perfect for ‘snow bunnies’ everywhere!
