The clean branding for Cha.ology is a tribute to the Japanese art of drinking tea. Recently opened in Manchester, the identity developed by a local Alphabet design agency is minimal and contemporary and was created in collaboration with Cha.ology’s founder Mei Lee.
To dig deeper into the Japanese tradition, the visual language was inspired by Tatami Flooring System, where blocks are stacked and slot together in a form of a grid. This consistently shows throughout the project – from the menu to the iconography.
