Meadham Kirchhoff x Lilien Czech

Meadham Kirchhoff S/S 2013 x Lilien Czech

If you are needing a pick me up, I often find that there is no better solution than piling on the jewels and ribbons for the ultimate girly fix.  Coming across Meadham Kirchhoff’s S/S 2013 collection felt a bit like coming home, as designers Ed Meadham and Ben Kirchhoff perfectly channel a rococo, indulgent, cool girl style of tomorrow, reminiscent of another life (where you might have been guilty of having your cake and eating it too). Opulence isn’t always the order of the day, but sometimes you gotta zag when others zig.  Pearl embellished tiaras, clamper bracelets, drop brooches, hair clips, rings and long earrings, all to be sold as sets of 5, have been created by glass maker Lilien Czech, seen here in shots by Eleanor Hardwick for the upcoming Rookie Mag.  “I wanted the collection to be about the dream of escape and absolute richness in all senses, the jewellery to be enormous heirloom type pieces with huge stones. I want the wearer to look and feel like the richest princess possible,” Meadham explained to Dazed Digital, and my verdict?  Gotta catch ’em all.
