Throwback Thursday: Marcos Valle

      1. Marcos Valle: Estrelar

Today’s throw back straight from the beach of Ipanema, sun bathed and refreshed with coconut water. Marcos Valle is a Brazilian singer, song writer, producer who transitioned from Rock, Soul, Jazz, and Dance music blending it with Brazilian styles.
Valle is also responsible for the renaissance of Pop music in Brazil, playing an important part in what the sound of 80’s MPB would become.
America, and even Brazil, never quite acclaimed his importance in the history of Brazilian music, like his contemporaries Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento. Now it’s time.
We chose the funky tropical track “Estrelar” which was featured on Valle’s self-titled album, released back in 1983.
