In his newest series “Magic Mountains” German hyperrealist painter Marco Reichert revives the references to classical landscape paintings but again based in his own constructed world. Psychedelic shapes and a type of Pop-art complexion brings the observer into an environment that has to be explored. These ‘Mountains’ remind us of silk, glaciers with candy filled valleys or scientific macro-photography- this intermixture of contexts creates new content.
