Manish Arora : Paris SS 2011
Lights on, drum and bass starts the show. Bright colors as usual, Manish Arora presents his magical SS 2011 collection inspired by the Baroque period. Severe futuristic lines create an interesting illusion of "Futuristic Baroque", a decadence and a promise of a glimpse into the future as Manish sees it.A strange melody sounds in the room that is plunged into darkness. A musician is playing Theremin, a rare instrument with two antennas that are creating a magnetic field : no need to touch it !Manish collaborates with Swarovski Elements to create unique accessories and with Nicholas Kirkwood for the shoes. The color palette includes shades of blue, purple, mint green, sea blue, cream, red, black and gold. The tights look like glued surface textures, intricate thread work and sequenced hand embroidery.[gallery columns="4"]Exclusive pictures by Rodolphe Nantas
