Mal-Aimée is equally a continuation of a Parisian tradition and the creation of a dynamic avant-garde. Poetic and chic, as well as modern and urban, the identity of the brand switches back and forth between androgyny and extreme femininity, thereby giving birth to a new elegance.
Designer duo Léonie & Marius meet at the Geneva University of Art and Design and begin immediately to work together while interning at Nina Ricci with Olivier Theyskens. They founded their brand Mal-Aimée in 2010, with their first ready-to-wear collection in October of the same year.
Mal-Aimée is a definite world of contrasts, young and sophisticated, born of the differences and of the complementarity of its two creators. Enriched by their experience in the Paris fashion world and having mastered the art of dressmaking, the pair push the envelope in exploring line and volume, and are especially demanding in their choice of material and colors.
