Getting to know Mac DeMarco is somewhat of an arduous process requiring patience throughout his fickle tendencies, which access an inner Lou Reed and a soft rock, Elvis. Up and down a spectrum ranging from baritone to falsetto, hazy instrumentation quivers over an all around creepy delivery too good to be freaked out by. What’s constant is his knack for catchy, yet unadorned guitar riffs, and ironic lyrics.
Since signing to Captured Tracks, the Canadian has released his debut album, Rock And Roll Night Club so we can get to know him–every version of him–even better. Don’t be shy: have a listen.
