Latest Work from Studio Mieke Meijer

Simply put, Mieke Meijer is responsible for some of the coolest product and furniture design of the moment. We first reported on the Dutch designer back in 2011, and since then it looks like the Design Academy Eindhoven grad has been quite busy alongside her partner, Roy Letterie, at Studio Mieke Meijer. With references towards modular furniture, the latest additions to the studio’s product range consists of kitchen shelving (in collaboration with Forbo), room dividers, desks, lamps and tableware. Working with materials such as wood and bronze, the collection finds itself in a burgeoning niche – multifunctional, elegant and industrial furniture with highbrow intelligence (industrial archaeology is a big influence) that unfolds via a slightly nomadic, minimalist aesthetic.  And it’s all handmade in the Netherlands.  Pure perfection.
