Free speech, free dance – right? Not according to the Jamaican gov who’s recently tried to outlaw the Jamaican dancehall craze Daggering.
The clothing brand Insight has taken a liking to this and recently documented some of Jamaicas’ best dagger masters in this short film directed by Mike Piscitelli and George Gorrow. Insight has always been known for pushing the envelope on progressive marketing campaigns and this certainly is one to add to their list. Shot on the streets of Kingston, the crew follows Jamaican dancer Stitch through winding streets to meet some friends and show off some moves.
