I loved the Lacoste S/S 2012 Collection! As the collection was unfolding in front of me I kept thinking, “what is going on here, this looks amazing!” And then I remembered that Lacoste is now under the creative direction of Portuguese designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista. This collection was everything I love in sportswear. I loved all the rugby references remixed into little jersey dress ensembles, it was really refreshing! I also thought it was great that he made the womens a bit more playful to contrast the more streamlined direction for men. I have to say that it was one of the most exciting collection for me during NYFW S/S 2012.
