Kelly Reemtsen Paintings

Inconspicuous

I’m in love with these amazing paintings by American artist Kelly Reemtsen. The unexpected combinations of anonymous headless figures in beautiful vintage frocks holding simple tools like axes, gardening sheers, bolt cutters, chainsaws and crowbars also have great names, like “Heavy Handed”, “Axe” or “Character Assassination”.  I really like the way the artist captured the combination of softness and strength, fantasy and reality, noir undertones and lovely candy-bright colors.
