I first saw photographer John Gettings work at an auction called Fotorelief, benefiting Haiti back in December 2009. He had donated one of these Polaroid series, and it was my absolute favorite piece. But I was not the only one, as the auction ended it had the highest bidding price of any photograph in the room. Tomorrow Gallery B, a gallery in Sag Harbor, will be holding the opening reception for these before works. This will be Getting’s first exhibit of these works and I am pretty sure they wont be around for long.
