Renowned for their urban chic accommodation, W Hotels have diversified, debuting their first ski resort, W Verbier. The 5-star hotel, is located in the infamous lively ski town Verbier, in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Owned by Les Trois Rocs and designed by Alpine architectural specialist Fima and Amsterdam’s Concrete Architectural Associates.
The hotel is comprised of four buildings, linked by glass atriums and contains 123 hotel rooms, including one extravagant WOW suite (the W brand’s signature presidential suite). Ideally located on the next to main gondola it provides ski-in and ski-out access.
Founder and creative director of Concrete, Rob Wagemans shares “our design introduces smooth lines that carve through the spaces with contrasting materials reflecting the simplicity, beauty and energy of Verbier and the contemporary cool of New York”. Stone and rustic wooded surfaces are juxtaposed against modern synthetic fabrics to create an inviting space seamlessly creates a link between the remarkable panoramic mountain view and a sleek, cotemporary interior.
Vincent Luisier, Chairman of Les Trois Rocs is confident that “W Verbier will be a major success, combining luxurious, contemporary design with extraordinary service.” Capturing the essence of the mountainous atmosphere and combining it with a cosmopolitan flair, W Verbier will no doubt seduce jetsetters looking for an unforgettable experience.
