Jai Paul is a London based beat-wizard producing big weird Pop tracks that are destined to be the backing tracks for a M.I.A. or some other avant-Pop artist. He is one part Prince, one part D’Angelo mixed with heavy doses of Diplo and Madlib. “BTSTU” is our first sonic introduction to Mr. Paul and with a bold opening line such as, “Don’t f*uck with me, don’t f*ck with me”, he is setting himself up for ridicule and failure but just wait for the big ballsy synths that kick in during the chorus that have as much gusto as he does.
